Stock prices moved upwards in today’s session of the Athens Stock Exchange, amidst a positive climate in the European markets.
From the high capitalization, the shares of Piraeus, Jumbo, Elvarhalcor and Aegean outperformed.
The General Price Index closed at 1,247.20 points, marking an increase of 0.97%.
Intra-session recorded a higher price at 1,248.00 units (+1.03%)
The value of transactions amounted to 102.85 million euros, while 38,515,051 shares were traded.
The large-cap index rose 1.21%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.92%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Jumbo (+3.63%), Piraeus (+3.59%), Elvalhalcor (+3.04%), Aegean Airlines (+2, 96%), PPC (+2.56%) and Ethniki (+2.08%).
On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of ELPE (-5.12%) and Titan (-2.46%).
The shares of Titan and ELPE were traded with a dividend cut of 0.60 euros and 0.50 euros per share, respectively.
Of the individual indices, the largest increase was recorded by the indices of Personal Products (+3.39%), Banks (+1.53%) and Telecommunications (+1.53%), while the indices of Health (-2.39%) and Oil (-1.46%).
Eurobank and Alpha Bank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 17,973,876 and 9,373,303 shares, respectively.
The highest transaction value was recorded by Eurobank with 25.98 million euros and Alpha Bank with 13.91 million euros.
72 stocks moved up, 34 fell and 19 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Xylemporia (p) +29.66% and Unibios +13.75%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Bitros -8.70% and Trastor -7.27%.
