Pizza’Fun will disappear in Val-de-Travers. A little more than twenty years following being created, the restaurant, today located at Place du Marché in Fleurier, will cede its location to a new brand. Boss until Saturday March 30, Mélanie Fernandes is preparing to embark on a new challenge, following more than fifteen years spent in the building, including three as manager. At Le Vallon, “we must not forget that we were the first to deliver,” recalls Mélanie Fernandes. “This system has worked very well for a long time, but I think it is time to give way to another project. »
La Brasserie du Marché will replace Pizza’Fun following a few weeks of work. It is a child from Val-de-Travers who takes over the place, Guillaume Toupance, also owner of the Hôtel DuPeyrou in Neuchâtel. “I think the brewery responds to a demand, especially in Fleurier,” explains the buyer. The menu will change, even if regulars will still find a few pizzas and burgers on the menu, to which brasserie dishes will be added. “We would like to work a little more with catering products. “, he said.
La Brasserie du Marché will not turn into a gourmet restaurant either, assures Guillaume Toupance, “even if we will work with the products as we do at the Hôtel DuPeyrou, with short circuits. »
If some of the current employees remain in the building, there will be a natural turnover within the staff. The team will be led by Laurent Herzog who managed Le Nénuphar in La Neuveville for fifteen years. This new resident of Val-de-Travers believes that the Fleurier project “is completely different, even if we can find similarities in the brasserie cuisine and friendly service”.
The opening of the Brasserie du Marché is planned for the last week of April at the earliest, at the same time as Mélanie Fernandes’ new restaurant, which will be located near Place d’Armes, still in Fleurier. Its brand, Petite Manie, will offer mainly vegetarian meals to its customers. /swe
