A new generation of the sports car BAC Mono was presented by the brand (Briggs Automotive Company). The model revealed during the Monterrey Car Week and promises to deliver high-level performance, combined with a design that seeks to approach racing single-seaters, something already present in its predecessor.
Even so, it is quite clear that the new car underwent a mechanical evolution. For example, the past generation used a 2.3 Ford engine, which has now been replaced by a 2.5 from the same manufacturer, in addition to being aspirated and composed of forged parts.
This equipment manages to generate 311 hp to the vehicle at 8,000 rpm, an increase of 5 hp compared to its predecessor. In addition, the car’s body is made of carbon fiber, treated as the great secret of the car’s performance, helping it to have a total of 570 hp, with a ratio of 546 hp per ton.
The Bac Mono, therefore, manages to do its 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds. It is also worth mentioning some other improvements such as those made in the steering systems and suspension. Not only that, but a new double wishbone suspension system has been implemented on the model.
For now, the Bac Mono has not yet had its price revealed, but its production has already started at the brand’s facilities in Liverpool. The day is that the first deliveries will be made at the end of Car Monterrey Week. Regarding the environmental issue, the company has plans to launch a turbo powered version to meet the regulations of its product.
