New Audi A6 e-tron Variants: Up to 716 km Range & Fast Charging Options

Audi’s offer of electric models is joined by two new A6 e-tron variants, which will provide a range of up to 716 kilometers.

The first novelty is the A6 e-tron with rear-wheel drive and 210 kW power (temporarily 240 kW in Launch Control mode) combined with an 83 kWh battery. Audi calls this model with a consumption of 16.6-13.6 kWh per 100 km the most economical version of the family, which has a range of up to 627 km (A6 Sportback e-tron) and 598 km (A6 Avant e-tron). The energy reserves can be restored with a capacity of up to 225 kW, so with the fast charger, 10 minutes will be enough to continue the journey for 260 (Sportback) and 245 km (Avant), while charging from 10 to 80 percent is possible in 21 minutes.

The second novelty is the all-wheel drive A6 e-tron quattro, endowed with 315 kW (340 kW in Launch Control mode) power and a 100 kWh battery. According to the manufacturer, it consumes 17.5-14.7 kWh per 100 km, allowing a range of up to 716 km (A6 Sportback e-tron quattro) and 685 km (A6 Avant e-tron quattro). This variant can be charged with a maximum power of up to 270 kW, so using the HPC fast charger it is possible to replenish the energy reserves for 290 km (A6 Sportback e-tron quattro) and 280 km (A6 Avant e-tron quattro) in 10 minutes. 10-80 percent charging should also take 21 minutes in this case.

Regarding the dynamics, Audi has indicated that the rear-wheel drive version reaches 100 km/h in 6 seconds, the all-wheel drive version in 4.5 seconds.

The new A6 e-tron variants are already available for order. The price in Germany is 62,800 euros for the Sportback and 64,450 euros for the Avant, while the A6 Sportback e-tron quattro costs at least 79,800 euros, while the A6 Avant e-tron quattro costs at least 81,450 euros.

Audi Goes Electric: A6 e-tron Variants Unveiled

Well, well, well! It seems our dear friends at Audi have decided to join the electric revolution. And what a way to step into the future with not one, but TWO new A6 e-tron variants. Forget about the range anxiety; we’re now talking about a dizzying 716 kilometers to the proverbial gallon, or whatever metric celebrates non-polluting goodness.

The Economical A6 e-tron

First up, we have the rear-wheel drive model flexing its battery-powered muscles with 210 kW of power, temporarily peaking at 240 kW when in Launch Control mode. With an 83 kWh battery on board, this beauty sips energy like it’s on a low-carb diet, consuming just 16.6-13.6 kWh per 100 km. Audi boldly claims it’s the most economical version of the family! A family member that can sprint from zero to 100 km/h in a leisurely 6 seconds—just enough time to grab a tea or explain to your passengers why they’re not in a Tesla.

The A6 Sportback e-tron offers a range of up to 627 km, while the A6 Avant e-tron humbly boasts up to 598 km. Need a quick charge? Smash that fast charger button and in just 10 minutes, you’re ready to roll for another 260 km in the Sportback. Not too shabby for an electric car! Oh, and a full 10 to 80 percent charge will take you about 21 minutes—perfect for a bathroom break at your favorite service station… or two!”

The Mighty A6 e-tron Quattro

Now, for those who believe “go big or go home” is a life motto, you’ll want to lure your wallet into the Quattro territory. Power hungry? How about a mouth-watering 315 kW, jumping to 340 kW in Launch Control mode. This confidently muscular creature comes equipped with a 100 kWh battery and consumes 17.5-14.7 kWh per 100 km. It delivers an astonishing range of 716 km for the A6 Sportback e-tron quattro and 685 km for the Avant version—because why wouldn’t you want to drive until your snacks run out?

Charging? Oh, please! This dazzling variant can be charged at a maximum power of up to 270 kW, which means if you find the correct HPC fast charger, in 10 minutes you’ll be recharged for 290 km (that’s Sportback math!) and 280 km for the Avant. And yes, once again, it takes only 21 minutes to scuttle from 10 to 80 percent charge. Talk about efficiency! It can’t do your laundry yet, but give it time.

Price Points: Where’s the Money?

Excited? Good! The A6 e-tron variants are already available for order. Now, let’s talk money. In Germany, you’ll need to part ways with 62,800 euros for the Sportback and 64,450 euros for the Avant. If you want the Quattro, get ready to dug deep: at least 79,800 euros for the Sportback e-tron quattro and jumping to a cool 81,450 euros for the Avant e-tron quattro. Just remember, that doesn’t include the “I’m much cooler than you” tax you’ll be paying every time you park it!”

So there you have it! Two new contenders in the electric ring, promising not just performance but a stylish ride. Will these beauties dethrone the Teslas of the world? Perhaps! But until then, let’s embrace our inner environmentalist while showing off our snazzy new wheels!

Audi has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of two innovative A6 e-tron variants, offering an impressive range of up to 716 kilometers on a single charge, showcasing the brand’s commitment to sustainability and advanced engineering.

The first exciting addition is the rear-wheel drive A6 e-tron, which generates a robust 210 kW of power, and can temporarily reach 240 kW in Launch Control mode, all while being paired with a sizeable 83 kWh battery. Audi proudly claims this model to be the most economical option within the A6 family, with an efficient energy consumption of just 16.6-13.6 kWh per 100 km. Its remarkable range extends to 627 km for the A6 Sportback e-tron variant and 598 km for the A6 Avant e-tron. Thanks to a rapid charging capability of up to 225 kW, drivers can regain sufficient energy in just 10 minutes for an additional 260 km (Sportback) or 245 km (Avant), while a full charge can be achieved from 10 to 80 percent within roughly 21 minutes.

The second noteworthy variant is the all-wheel drive A6 e-tron quattro, boasting a powerful 315 kW output, which can surge to 340 kW in Launch Control mode, and is paired with a large 100 kWh battery. The manufacturer reports a consumption rate of 17.5-14.7 kWh per 100 km, permitting an outstanding driving range of up to 716 km for the A6 Sportback e-tron quattro and 685 km for the A6 Avant e-tron quattro. This model supports rapid charging at a maximum of 270 kW; thus, using a High-Power Charging (HPC) station, drivers can add 290 km of range in just 10 minutes for the Sportback and 280 km for the Avant. Just like the rear-wheel drive variant, charging from 10 to 80 percent takes around 21 minutes in this version too.

Regarding performance, Audi has announced that the rear-wheel drive version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a swift 6 seconds, while the all-wheel drive version impressively achieves the same in merely 4.5 seconds, highlighting the powerful capabilities of these electric models.

The exciting new A6 e-tron variants are now available for order, with pricing in Germany starting at 62,800 euros for the Sportback and 64,450 euros for the Avant. The more powerful A6 Sportback e-tron quattro is priced from 79,800 euros, while the A6 Avant e-tron quattro begins at 81,450 euros, reflecting their premium status in the electric vehicle market.
