Asuncion, IP Agency.- Works began on the 20.30 km stretch that will connect the localities of Mbokajaty del Yhaguy with San José de los Arroyos, between the departments of Cordillera and Caaguazú.
The work on the track consists of cleaning the right of way, excavating pockets and building the embankment in the first few metres of the track. This last activity is carried out in parallel with the compaction control to determine the quality of the work carried out.
Among the upcoming items to be executed are the removal of existing structures, construction of the structural package, art and drainage works, as well as the construction of complementary works such as signage, vehicle containment barriers, forest protection, among others.
The road improvement will benefit residents of Piray, Hope Colony, Ykua Rugua, San Blas and Mbocayaty del Yhaguy.
About the work
The project begins in the city of San José de los Arroyos (Caaguazú), at km 103 of route PY02, in correspondence with Paraguay Street, which is paved for its first 880 m and in good condition. From km 0.85 to km 21.34 (end of the project) the road is made of uncompacted earth, in regular condition.
This is the call for MOPC Call No. 93/2022 “… For asphalt paving works in the departments of Misiones, Cordillera and Caaguazú – Directorate of Roads – ad referendum to the approval of the loan contract”, published on the portal of the National Directorate of Public Procurement (DNCP) with ID No. 419394.
In this case, it is Lot 4 of the aforementioned tender carried out by Ecomipa SA for an amount of G. 40,756,786,939 and a term of 24 months.
