New appointments to positions of responsibility in the National Security Services have been announced in a number of cities, including Agadir.

In this context, the General Directorate of National Security announced, on Saturday, July 6, a number of new appointments to positions of responsibility in the public security and judicial police services in the cities of Casablanca, Agadir, Tan-Tan, Errachidia, Salé, Targuist, Marrakech, Al Hoceima and Taza, as part of an internal dynamic aimed at injecting new blood and employing young and experienced security personnel, capable of effectively participating in achieving the security of citizens and the safety of their property.

These new appointments, approved by the Director General of National Security Abdellatif Hammouchi, included 12 new positions of responsibility, including the appointment of two deputy heads of the security zones in Agadir and Anfa in Casablanca, as well as the head of the police department in Salé and the head of the tourist squad in Casablanca.

These appointments also included placing security personnel at the head of other decentralized public security services, including the appointment of two heads of traffic accident services in Errachidia and Salé, a commander of the mobile group to maintain order in Marrakech, and an acting head of the urban authority in Targuist, in addition to appointing a head of a unit affiliated with the sensitive facilities protection group in Casablanca.

Security personnel from decentralized judicial police services were appointed to positions of responsibility, including the appointment of a head of the judicial police unit in the city of Tan Tan, as well as the appointment of two heads of units affiliated with the regional judicial police service in Taza and Al Hoceima.

In appointing these security positions, care was taken to select competent individuals from the new generation of security officials who possess high professionalism, integrity and work experience, so that they can optimally implement the new security strategy that aims to serve the security of citizens, by strengthening the sense of security, improving police services, consolidating the communication approach and enhancing the openness of the security services.
