In this context, the General Directorate of National Security announced, on Tuesday, August 13, a set of new appointments to positions of responsibility in the National Security services in the cities of Rabat, Taounate, Casablanca, Al Hoceima, Khemisset, Marrakech, Agadir, Fez, Salé, Ouarzazate, Taza, Souk El Arbaa Gharb and Meknes, as part of an internal dynamic aimed at injecting new blood and using young and experienced security competencies, capable of effectively participating in achieving the security of citizens and the safety of their property.

These new appointments, approved by the Director General of National Security Abdellatif Hammouchi, included 20 positions of responsibility, including the appointment of two deputy heads of the regional security zones of Khemisset and Taounate, and the head of the administrative provincial service in the Agadir Security District.

These appointments also included placing security cadres at the head of other central and decentralized public security services, including the appointment of 10 police chiefs in the cities of Casablanca, Marrakech, Fez, Salé, Ouarzazate and Taza, in addition to appointing a head of a traffic accidents service and an acting head of a similar service in Casablanca, as well as a head of a unit affiliated with the 99th Mobile Security Group in Rabat and a head of the urban authority in the city of Souk El Arbaa Gharb.
In addition, trustworthy executives were appointed to head the decentralized services of the judicial police and general intelligence in positions of responsibility, including the appointment of the head of the gang-fighting unit of the provincial service of the judicial police in Meknes, as well as the appointment of the head of two units of the regional and provincial services of general intelligence in both Al Hoceima and Salé.
In addition, care was taken in appointing these security positions to select competencies from the new generation of security officials, who possess high professionalism, integrity and work experience, so that they can optimally implement the new security strategy that aims to serve the security of citizens by strengthening the sense of security and improving police services, consolidating the communication approach and enhancing the openness of the national security services.
