The General Directorate of National Security has announced a series of new appointments to positions of responsibility in a group of decentralized services of National Security in the cities of Taourirt, Berkane, and the Port of Tangier Med, as well as at the central level of the Department of Public Security.
These new appointments, which were indicated by the Director General of National Security Abdellatif Hammouchi, included the appointment of a new head of the Regional Security Region of the city of Taourirt, as well as the appointment of a head of the division general investigations and a chief of the first police department of the Regional Security Region of the city of Berkane.
These appointments also included the appointment of a new head of the Judicial Police Brigade in the security zone of the Tangier Med port, as part of the support for the exceptional dynamism of the movement of people and goods in this vital border post, taking into account in particular the launch of the implementation of security measures related to the Marhaba 2023 operation.
At the central level, the new appointments provided for the placement of a security cadre drawn from the uniformed police to head the Logistics Department of the Public Security Directorate of the Department of Law Enforcement Units.
In these appointments, particular care has been taken to select security managers with a high level of professionalism, integrity and functional experience, so that they can optimally implement the new security strategy. which aims to serve the security of citizens, by strengthening the feeling of security, improving police services, as well as consolidating the communicative approach and improving openness to the interests of the citizen.
