Available from today (6.2.2024) at 12:00 is the online application for the new special aid for vulnerable groups, which amounts to 718.50 euros, from DYPA.
As stated in her announcement DOUBLEthis new benefit aims to support vulnerable social groups, who do not have the right to unemployment benefit.
In more detail, the announcement states:
From today, Tuesday, February 6 at 12:00, the online application for the new Special Assistance for Vulnerable Groups is available, amounting to €718.50 (37.5 daily unemployment benefits), increased by 10% for each child placed in effective from 29.12.2023.
The new provision of DYPA aims to support particularly vulnerable social groups – who do not establish a right to unemployment allowance – for their smooth reintegration into the labor market, strengthening and expanding the DYPA social protection net for the unemployed. Specifically, beneficiaries of the benefit are unemployed:
- Parents of a single parent family
- Released
- Women, victims of gender and/or domestic violence
- Victims of violence – trafficking
- Free from addictive substances.
According to newsit, conditions for granting the aid are the unemployed:
- be registered in the DYPA Digital Register of the Unemployed with one of the above qualities when submitting their application
- have completed 1–75 days of insurance in the e-EFKA anytime in the last 2 years before submitting their application (or since the start of the sentence, for those released from prison)
- to have an income of up to €16,000 for singles, €24,000 for married couples (increased by €5,000 per child) or €29,000 for single-parent families (increased by €5,000 for each child following the first) and at the same time, the amount of the total gross income from business family activity not to exceed €80,000 and
- not be simultaneously beneficiaries of regular unemployment allowance, long-term unemployed allowance, self-employed and independently employed allowance and special seasonal allowance.
The benefit is granted once every 2 years. Applications will be submitted exclusively electronically through gov.gr with TAXISnet codes.
Specifically, the route is: Home / Work and insurance / Unemployment / Special assistance to vulnerable social groups.
The new Special Aid for Vulnerable Groups replaces the special aid granted to:
a) subsidized unemployed who remained unemployed one month following the exhaustion of their subsidy,
b) non-subsidized unemployed who have been unemployed for 3 months within the same calendar year, and
c) non-subsidized unemployed who worked in enterprises that have suspended their operations or that have exercised the right to suspend work.
