The second generation of Apple Watch Ultra will be lighter than the current one. That was what the leaker known as Setsuna Digital — which has a history of confirmed rumors — on the Chinese social network Weibo.
The publication does not provide more details – which leaves many questions open for this issue – but some speculation can be made regarding how this will be done by Apple.
As well remembered the MacRumorsa recent rumor indicates that the next generation of the smart watch will feature 3D printed mechanical parts – which, theoretically, might help Apple reduce the weight of the watch.
There is also no information regarding the size of this supposed change — not even if it will be felt, in practice, by users.
The Apple Watch Ultra, it is worth remembering, has a titanium construction and weighs 61.3 grams. The 45mm Series 7 with the same construction, by way of comparison, weighs 45.1g.
