On June 23, the Barranquilla Animal Welfare Center opens its doors. The project already has the endowment and operating personnel to start operating at the service of the city.
The Animal Welfare Center, located on the road to Juan Mina, is a 3,100-square-meter building that will provide health care and shelters for up to 700 animals simultaneouslybetween felines and canines, along with three stalls for horses.

“We are very happy because following a very rigorous construction process, having provided the best veterinary technology, we will soon be opening this center, which will be a benchmark on the Atlantic coast, and the most important thing is that we will work hand in hand with the animal community to provide the necessary services,” said the mayor Jaime Pumarejo.
The infrastructure will have spaces for surgeries, maternity, hospitalization, deworming and vaccination.
