Shotgun 650 inspired by Royal Enfield’s Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 motorcycles are out. The bike caught the eye of the camera while doing a test run in the country. Earlier, Shotgun 650 was also tested abroad. Exact details of the production model are available in the currently released images.
The design and styling of the shotgun is similar to the SG650 concept. The bike has round headlamps and rear view mirrors, a teardrop shaped fuel tank and a wide rear mudguard. These design bits give it a retro-classic look. The headlamps feature LED elements and the blinkers feature halogen bulbs.
The shotgun test version has centrally positioned footpegs and a single piece seat. The bike will also feature turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, USB charger and LED lighting system. The bike gets USD forks at the front and twin rear shock absorbers to handle the suspension duties. There will be front and rear disc brakes along with dual-channel ABS.
The official engine details of the bike are yet to be revealed. The vehicle will be powered by Royal Enfield’s 648cc parallel-twin, air-cooled engine. It is the engine in the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. It comes with a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. The engine will produce 47bhp of power and 52Nm of torque. But there are also indications that the power and torque of the Shotgun 650cc may be slightly different.
