AFTER previously only releasing singles, this time, Friday (30/8), the Bekasi trio Jendral Kantjil released an Extended Play (EP) containing six songs titled Never Ending. The EP seems to convey the news that they will never end in terms of productivity and existence in the creative world.
Not only releasing on digital music platforms, reportedly Jendral Kantjil will also be holding a showcase in the near future.
“Even though the other personnel have left, General Kantjil will continue the journey, that’s why it was given the title Never Ending. We will also hold a showcase soon,” said Phitoy
The artwork was created by Daniel, who is also a designer at Buztard.
“In terms of artwork, we entrusted it to Daniel, an artwork designer we often see on social media. We tried to give an idea by including the characters of our two deceased friends (Founder JK), who were watching us on stage continuing their struggle. This is a form of our respect for the two deceased, Panjul and Mbhoots,” said Phitoy
Jendral Kantjil’s current music is quite varied. They present a complete package but do not change the common thread. Although very different from the previous album, they still try to make their songs can be enjoyed by a wider audience.

All the songs on the Never Ending album were written by Gerry.
“The themes raised are still light, the love is still there, but maybe a more universal “love”, so that listeners can create their own POV. While the music and production, we were also assisted by Rio from Overgrey/Tokoh Fiksi and also DWS studio for mixing and mastering,” said Gerry.
“Yes, I hope all the songs on this album will be accepted,” he continued.
As of August 30, 2024, the latest mini album from Jendral Kantjil can be enjoyed on Spotify, Apple Music, Joox and all digital music platforms. (Z-1)
