THE first day of The 90s Festival, Saturday (10/8/2024) was a nostalgia for the performance of the early formation of the Netral band. The reason is, Bagus Dhanar Dhana also invited Gabriel Bimo Sulaksono (Bimo) to go on stage.
When it was formed in 1992, Netral consisted of Bagus, Bimo, and the late Ricky Dayandani (Miten) who passed away in 2012. After Bimo and Miten left, Bagus teamed up with drummer Eno Gitara Ryanto (Eno) and guitarist Christopher Bollemeyer (Coki) to then continue with the band name Ntrl.
At The 90s Festival, the appearance of the early formation of Netral or called Netral 92, also invited Gugun Blues Shelter. The songs performed were from the early era of Netral. Such as Sampah and Memo on their debut album, Wa..lah (1995). As well as Pelor and Boring Day from the album Tidak Enak (1997).
“It’s only been half a century. It feels like just yesterday I was 25. Turns out I’m still out of breath. It’s great to meet my friends at The 90’s Festival,” Bagus said on stage. In addition to performing with Gugun Blues Shelter, the original formation of Netral also performed with a brass section, teaming up with the trio Karung Brass.
The 90s Festival will run until Sunday, August 11, 2024. On the last day, the festival will also be enlivened by the London, England band, Suede. (M-1)
