He Ministry of Transportation of the Nation increased the amount of subsidies of the compensating fund for transport that it distributes in the interior of the country and consequently from the payment of the month of July the contribution in Río Negro and Neuquén will be increased, where there are delays in the transfers.
The national organism defined that in July and August will have 9,000 million pesos per month for the interior compensating fund, which is distributed among transport companies that provide urban and interurban services. That amount until June was 7,000 million pesos per month.
The Resolution 423/2023which defines the new amount, was published yesterday in the Official Gazette of the Nation but it still remains for the provinces to receive the contract for signing.
To this is added that by national requirement, each province must contribute the same amount in transportation subsidies and distribute it among the companies that offer the service and that meet the requirements.
Neuquén, receives 1.96% of the total of the compensating fund that is distributed in the interior, with some 190 million pesos per month, according to the authorities. In the liquidation of the Ministry of Transportation, it appears that this province has already received the payment for June, for a total of regarding 150 million pesos.
The province remarked that it makes the surrenders on time, without delays, and for this reason it is one of those that is up to date with the receipt of subsidies. There are other jurisdictions that are so late that they have not yet received January.
Río Negro receives just under 1% of the total of the compensation fund. The last payment was received yesterday and corresponded to the quota for May, for a total of regarding 69 million pesos that it distributes among the companies, confirmed Juan Ignacio Ciancaglini, Secretary of Transportation of Río Negro.
Ciancaglini specified that in the case of Río Negro, recently two weeks ago the agreement for the subsidies for May and June was signed and admitted that the Nation cut subsidies during the year because the province began January with an average of 88 million pesos and from March the contribution dropped to 69 million pesos per month.
It is estimated that now the increase in the subsidy will be proportional and Río Negro should receive around 90 million pesos that are distributed among the companies Amancay SRL (Bariloche), La Comarca SA and Ceferino (Viedma), Doradas Bus (Sierra Grande), Las Grutas (through a provincial route), Ko-Ko (Alto Valle interurban), 1° de Septiembre (Roca) and Pehuenche (Cipolletti).
“Province respected the initial amounts and continued to transfer the same amounts as in Januaryadded to others 20 million pesos distributed among companies that do not receive the national subsidyCiancaglini explained. These firms are Fredes, for the interurban services of Viedma-San Javier; Las Grutas by the Bariloche-Dina Huapi intercity; Via Bariloche, for the Valle Medio service, Cooperativa El Juncal, which operates Viedma-Guardia Miter, and Patagonia Land, which runs the Jacobacci-Cipolletti medium-distance route.
Some companies demand higher contributions of subsidies due to the pressing financial situation. “The problem is widespread in the interior of the country that receives one eighth of the subsidies received by the AMBA”, said the official from Río Negro who remarked that the increases in fuels, imported inputs and the recent salary agreement signed by UTA must be faced.
