Late Tuesday followingnoon, a person was knocked down by a public transport vehicle, on rue des Parcs in Neuchâtel, according to the Neuchâtel police.

The accident took place near rue des Parcs 111. Aged 59 and residing in the region, the victim, seriously injured, had to be airlifted by REGA to the Island hospital in Bern.
Rue des Parcs was closed to traffic until 7:15 p.m. for the purposes of the technical report and the various investigations carried out on site. The public prosecutor opened an investigation to establish the circumstances and causes of this accident.
