Funds intended for Swiss scientists would have been used for another purpose by a professor of the high school. While he contests, the rectorate has opened an investigation.
A professor from the University of Neuchâtel is in the sights of the rectorate. According to the Neuchâtel daily «ArcInfo» and the French site Mediapart, he is suspected of having made a research center close to the French PS benefit from funds intended for Swiss scientists, thus contravening the rules of the establishment.
Accusations of backdated documents and false invoices have also been raised. The professor in question disputed any irregularity, saying that “all expenses were made in compliance with UniNE accounting”. The rectorate has opened an investigation to verify the validity of these allegations.
