“With our method of netting, we follow the method preferred by the House of Representatives. Naturally, we also comply with the law. However, the current law is open to multiple interpretations. This is also reflected in the answers to cases regarding this at the Disputes Committee These cases are variously declared well-founded or unfounded by the committee. The Disputes Committee also indicates that the law does not clearly specify how netting should be done for multiple delivery rates in a year.
We regret this ambiguity from the law. We therefore also explain our netting method using a calculation example website. Our advice to the House of Representatives is to include a clear working method in the Energy Act – just like in the bill for phasing out netting – on how to deal with different supply rates in a year, so that there is clarity for everyone.”
