Dubai: From Egyptian-American jewelry maker Jackie Aisha to Lebanese eyeglass wearer Karen Wazen, celebrities from around the world are turning to Arab designers to accessorize their summer looks.
American actress Vanessa Hudgens recently shared a photo of her wearing a ring designed by Aisha. The “High School Musical” star wore a double pyramidal triangle ring in smoky topaz.
Hudgens’ summer looks included a vintage Versace tie-dyed mini dress and a mid-size yellow-gold Queen Nefertiti necklace by FoundRae Jewelers.
Ayesha’s loyal client includes Canadian model and former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Winnie Harlow.
The star was spotted flaunting one of the brand’s turquoise beaded necklaces.
Earlier this week, Brazilian model Alessandra Ambrosio stepped out wearing Aiche’s Small Mama diamond necklace that retails for $5,750.
On her trip to Malibu, the runway star wore a linen jumpsuit that she paired with a T-shirt. Later that evening, she was photographed in a large suit by The Mannei, a brand founded by Polish-Jordanian designer and fashion designer Sarah Borock Mane.
In a previous interview with Arab News, Aisha said that for her jewelry is “everything” – it’s much more than just decoration. She explained, “It speaks to the soul. It’s a form of self-expression, a method of deep healing, and a mantra with personal meaning.”
Aisha, who launched her eponymous brand from her garage in 2008, has amassed an impressive list of famous clients including Hailey Bieber, Usher, Rihanna, Jada Pinkett Smith and Blake Lively.
“I have a strong and beautiful tribe, I found organically and gravitated towards my designs,” she said. I love it in life, in the unknown and the unexpected.”
Meanwhile, Lebanese eyewear designer Karen Wazen has had her moment in the spotlight this week with a number of international celebrities casting her shadows.
Realtor and the star of the popular Netflix reality show The Sunset Sale, Kristen Quinn wore Wazen’s gold reflective sunglasses.
Meanwhile, American creator Krisel Lim, who has over 1.4 million followers on Instagram, has been wearing Jen’s shades in heat.
