Netflix’s ad-supported offering is reportedly gaining ground in the US. According to internal figures available to Bloomberg, around one million customers in the United States have already signed up for Netflix’s ad-supported service. Launched in early November, the offering appears to have gotten off to a moderately successful start. In January, however, 19 percent of new registrations in the US opted for the ad-financed version for $6.99, reports the analysis company Antenna.
