Forrest Gump

Attack on Titan

A Heavy Duty
Another classic that leaves in May, starring the iconic Eddie Murphy. A 1984 crime comedy film directed by Martin Brest and starring Eddie Murphy as Detective Axel Foley. The film follows Foley as he investigates the murder of his best friend in Detroit and follows leads to Beverly Hills, where he discovers a major drug smuggling operation. The Illustrious Citizen
You need to watch “The Distinguished Citizen” before removal. It is an Argentine comedy-drama film released in 2016, directed by Gastón Duprat and Mariano Cohn. The film tells the story of Daniel Mantovani (played by Oscar Martínez), a renowned Argentine writer and winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, who has lived in Europe for decades and returns to his hometown of Salas, Argentina, to receive the title of Distinguished Citizen. Upon arriving in the city, Daniel is received with enthusiasm and recognition by the locals, but soon realizes that his presence has a negative impact on the lives of the residents and that their childhood memories are shrouded in conflicts and traumas. The film portrays the relationship between the writer and the townspeople, exploring issues such as identity, fame, ambition and the relationship between urban and rural culture.
MIB: Men in Black – International
MIB: Men in Black – Internacional is also leaving. A science fiction film released in 2019, directed by F. Gary Gray and starring Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. The film is a continuation of the “MIB – Men in Black” series of films and takes place in the same universe, but with new characters and a new plot. In the story, Agent M (Tessa Thompson) teams up with Agent H (Chris Hemsworth) to investigate an alien attack on Paris and uncovers a conspiracy within the MIB organization. Fans of a good horror will not be happy with this farewell either. A psychological horror film released in 2017, directed by Jordan Peele and starring Daniel Kaluuya and Allison Williams. The film follows the story of Chris (Kaluuya), a young African-American man who goes to visit the family of his white girlfriend Rose (Williams) in an isolated house in the woods. As the visit unfolds, Chris begins to realize that something strange is going on and that Rose’s family is not what it seems. The film addresses issues of race and prejudice in a unique and innovative way, and was a huge success with critics and audiences. It was nominated for several awards, including the Academy Award for Best Picture, and won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
Madagascar
Madagascar will bring some nostalgia with its farewell. It is an animated film released in 2005, produced by DreamWorks Animation and directed by Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath. The film tells the story of four animals at New York’s Central Park Zoo: Alex, the lion; Marty the zebra; Melman the giraffe; and Gloria the hippopotamus. The animals end up being sent to the island of Madagascar by accident and must learn to survive in the wild, while trying to find a way to get back home.
Bordertown
Fans of the detective genre will also miss Netflix’s original series “Bordertown,” which follows a Finnish detective investigating crimes in a town on the border between Finland and Russia.
Death Note
Among the removals, the “Death Note” trilogy stands out, which won over a legion of fans around the world with its dark and intriguing plot. The story follows a student who discovers a supernatural notebook capable of killing anyone whose name is written in it, and the three films – “Death Note”, “Death Note II – The Last Name” and “Death Note: Illuminating a New World” – will leave many fans desolate with his imminent departure from the platform.
