According to the latest reports from the Wall Street Journal, the digital streaming giant Netflix wants to add a GTA game to its platform, in agreement with Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar. According to the leaks, Netflix plans to expand its game library over the coming months, by including mobile games for the platform’s most famous films and series, such as Squid Game, Wednesday, Extraction, and more. But with this new report, it seems that Netflix is serious and determined to enter the gaming market from its widest gates, by including one of the GTA series games on the platform following agreeing with Take-Two, and it seems that those talks are currently taking place. We do not yet know which GTA series games will be included on the Netflix platform, and whether they will be the phone version, such as San Andreas or Vice City, or the computer version via cloud streaming. It is worth noting that Netflix had previously announced in late 2021 the addition of mobile games to its digital platform, most of which were simple games, which indicated the vision of the digital broadcasting giant and its desire to enter the gaming industry in one way or another. Now the platform has begun to expand to include huge third-party games on PC or TV screens, via cloud streaming. Netflix launched its cloud streaming service for games in beta mode last August, and currently there are only two games available: Oxenfree and Molehew’s.
