Subscribers to the Essential offer with benefit from two new advantages. One concerns the quality of content and the other the number of screens available.
The Essential offer with Netflix becomes more interesting. Indeed, the platform is preparing to strengthen the selling points of its cheaper formula. How ? By increasing the accessible quality, on the one hand, and the number of streams available simultaneously, on the other. Concretely, subscribers to Essential with can now view their content in 1080p and on two screens at the same time. A decision that comes, logically, because of the success of the subscription in the countries concerned.
As a reminder, Netflix is launching its new package in November 2022. Against 4 to 5 minutes of per hour of viewing, subscribers benefit from a lower cost subscription. The formula is deployed in a dozen countries, but not in Belgium, and the price obviously differs according to the territories. The American consumer pays, for example, $6.99 per month, while our French neighbors pay €5.99 per month.
Strengthen the offer to attract more users
Today, 5 months following the launch, Netflix is satisfied with the progress of its offer. It must be said that the subscription quickly found its audience, at least in Europe. In the United States, the start proved to be much slower. However, it seems the American public has finally embraced the formula. According to the company’s latest report, the revenues generated by Essential with in the United States now exceed those of the standard formula.
Of course, this change of situation is not due to chance. Netflix has been working hard for several months to correct major criticisms. The main one being the lack of content. Indeed, during the launch, several important licenses are absent from the catalog, for lack of agreements with the studios. Nevertheless, the platform indicates that its offer now contains 95% of the catalog of the standard offer.
Coupled with the new advantages, Essentiel avec pub has all the necessary elements to attract new subscribers. Note that while Spain and Canada benefit from it today, users in other countries will have to wait until the end of April.
