A Netflix improved the profile transfer feature launched in October last year, making it possible to transfer an existing account to another natively through the platform itself. In a note, the developer states that there is now support for sending the history of views and recommendations when transferring the account.
Previously, the profile owner might only transfer to an account created from scratch, a limitation that no longer happens with the recent update to this feature. For this, it is necessary to inform the e-mail address and password of the account to which the data will be sent, otherwise the migration will not be carried out.
Thus, the profile owner can migrate all entertainment information to an existing old account. The company’s statement does not mention the countries in which the improvement will be made available, but the launch is expected to take place progressively in the countries where the streaming platform is available.
In Brazil, Netflix can be found in four plan options: Standard with ads (R$ 18.90), Standard (R$ 39.90) and Premium (R$ 55.90).
