The audiovisual content platform Netflix confirmed that it is producing an animated series about the iconic character of Mafalda, created by the caricaturista argentinor known as Quino.
Juan José Campanellaalso of Argentine nationality, will be in charge of directing the animated series. The announcement was accompanied by a video with animated images of a globe behind which, little by little, the unmistakable image of the curious Mafalda appears.
Campanella, director of films such as “The Secret in Their Eyes,” will direct and produce the project, while Gastón Gorali will be co-writer and general producer of the original series. Netflixaccording to specialized media that assure that it is about the most important animated production developed until now in Latin America.

Precisely this 2024 they have been fulfilled 60 years since the creation of the famous comic Mafaldathe girl who stars in the comic strips that bear her name.
The company has not revealed when the series will premiere.
The creator of Mafalda, Joaquín Salvador Lavado Tejón, was born in 1932 in the Argentine city of Mendoza. Since childhood he was nicknamed Quino to distinguish him from his uncle Joaquín.
Lavado Tejón passed away on September 30, 2020, at the age of 88, one day after the 56th anniversary of the first publication of Mafalda, according to her official website.
