Assassin’s Creed do you want some here! This is clearly Ubisoft’s current position following its Forward dedicated to its flagship license. Valhalla, Mirage, Red, Hexe, Jade… So many titles for aficionados of the assassin credo. but among all these announcements, another has gone somewhat unnoticed: the partnership with Netflix. We briefly come back to this.
Assassin’s Creed Mobile: The Mystery Game
Ubisoft hit very hard with the multiple announcements concerning its license n°1: Assassin’s Creed. The time of a Forward almost entirely dedicated to assassins, the French studio presented the post-Valhalla with particularly enticing projects. Headlining the famous episode Mirage which should mark an expected return to basics by offering an infiltration-oriented experience, like the first opuses, around the youth of Basim, a character introduced in Vallhalla.
Moreover, we also note the arrival of the Infinity hub which should accommodateRedUbisoft’s answer to fans who were waiting for an opus in feudal Japan, but also Witch still very mysterious episode on the theme of witchcraft. On the mobile side, it is Jade, open-world in ancient China which is planned on iOS and Android. But it’s not the only Assassin’s Creed game that should arrive on our phones and tablets. Thus, Ubisoft has also announced a partnership with Netflix which should see the birth of a still secret game for the streamer’s video game catalog.
Ubisoft x Netflix: very good to be expected?
It was another strong announcement from Ubisoft’s Forward that went somewhat unnoticed. The French giant will collaborate with Netflix for future projects and already planning several games for the platform. Among these titles, we will find an Assassin’s Creed software. Open world as ambitious as Jade or more arcade game with instant fun? For the moment, we really don’t know anything regarding this project, which is ultimately quite surprising given the previous announcements, which have shared as much information as possible. We will therefore wait patiently before knowing more, but we must admit that a high-flying mobile game might really become a major argument for Netflix’s video game offer, which has been relatively dispensable so far.
The other project that is interesting is the Live-Action Assassin’s Creed series planned for the platform. Again details are lacking. except that we already know that Jeb Stuart, Showrunner of Vikings: Valhalla should oversee this series. Will this game accompany the series or offer another universe? Case to follow.
