Netflix’s service has reached more than 23 million monthly active users, Variety magazine reported Wednesday, citing the streaming giant’s head of , Amy Reinhard.
This plan launched in November 2022 in 12 markets, including the United States, to attract more customers and add a new revenue stream, as competition for online viewers intensifies.
A year following its launch, Netflix said the plan had reached 15 million monthly active users.
The streaming giant has raised prices on its ad-free options to entice more subscribers to upgrade to the next tier, where ads help generate more revenue.
