The former head of the Shin Bet said that Israel is not qualified for long wars, neither socially nor economically, and that this war should have ended a long time ago.
Argaman considered that the lives of the kidnapped are more important than anything and they must be returned despite the painful price we will pay in the deal, stressing the necessity of stopping the fighting in the Gaza Strip now and ending the war.
“Eliminating the leader of the Palestinian factions movement is necessary, but it is not enough. We can continue fighting for a long time, but the lives of the kidnapped are more important than anything else. For the sake of Israeli society, we must return them to their homes, and if we cannot return the kidnapped, there will be a major rift in Israeli society for many years,” he said.
