Internet station D100 host “Jess” Yin Yaosheng was accused of money laundering and conspiracy to commit acts of intentional incitement and was sentenced to 32 months in prison. On remand, he will be remanded and serve regarding two years in prison. A FB page posted a photo of Jess today, reposting that Jess’s “first thing to do when he leaves for Lebanon is to eat the first gram and drink a cup of frozen coffee.”

Yin Yaosheng stepped out of the prison at 9 o’clock this morning, describing his mood as calm, and hoped to meet his family first and adapt to life. He also expressed that he had no intention of leaving Hong Kong. There is no way. I have never thought regarding emigrating, I want to stay here.”

Yin Yaosheng was accused of publishing the then Chief Executive Carrie Lam’s “dead family” remarks on the show, and launching the “Thousands of Parents in Taiwan” crowdfunding plan to support the demonstrators in Taiwan. He was accused of cooperating with his assistants to clean up more than 10 million yuan black money. He admitted 1 count of conspiracy with intent to incite and 3 counts of money laundering. He was sentenced to 32 months in prison in the District Court last month and confiscated assets of more than 4.87 million yuan.
