The president of Independent, Nestor Grindettiannounced this Monday, August 14, that will take leave from his position at the Avellaneda club for dedicate yourself fully to the campaign for the October general elections that will have him as a candidate for governor of the province of Buenos Aires under the wing of Together for Change.

After his triumph in the internals once morest Daniel Santilli in the PASO 2023 elections, Grindetti had a television interview with A24 in which he revealed that he will take a break from his duties as president of Independiente to focus on the elections.

“Inevitably, for reasons of time, I am going to have to take leave from Independiente. We are finishing some issues. I dedicated myself mainly to the financial part and that is accommodated, now we are incorporating new figures. I’m going to let a few days go by to put everything in order, but at least I’ll take leave until the elections,” Grindetti said regarding his work at the club.

And he also expressed that in the next few days they will evaluate who will be his replacement: “We are going to decide in the next few days who would remain as president with the board of directors, or if it is necessary to hold an assembly, we will decide there.”

A few hours ago, when the triumph in the PASO took place, Grindetti had declared that he was not going to leave Independiente: “Have no doubt that we are going to be working together. Together for Change is going to win the province in October, because the people she wants them to take care of her, safety, work and health and in the teams that we come build, we will respond”.
