NEP swept the Acropolis Swim Open – 2024-05-01 20:14:24

The presence of the NEP Competitive Swimming Team on the third and last day of the ACROPOLIS SWIM OPEN 2024 international meeting held at the OAKA indoor swimming pool from 26-28/4 was quite successful. Yesterday the NEP children qualified for three C finals (very important for their age, if you consider that a total of 730 athletes participated with more than 150 being from 21 different countries and born many years ago our own children). In detail, the participations in the three finals were: Apostolia Skouta (K17) in the 50m. freestyle, where with a time of 27.61 she was ranked 4th (and overall 6th in her age category), of Fotis Chrysanthakopoulos (K16) in the 200m. butterfly, where with a time of 02:10.58 he was 3rd (and overall 2nd in his age category) and of Marianna Katsantoni (K15), where with a time of 02:43.82 he was 4th. We still had at 50m. free Andronikos Konstantopoulos (K19) to do 24.28 and in the 200m. butterfly Tenia Giannakopoulou (K18) and Fanis Kouri (K15), while finally Vasiliki Bouropoulou (K16) in the 200m. obverse was unfortunately invalid. NEP issued a statement congratulating all the children for their very good and encouraging presence throughout the three days and of course to their coach Lina Mastropasqua! “Their hard work continues and is vindicated!”, concludes the relevant announcement.
