Katharina Kainz: “We would like to thank Silke Kobald for the many years of cooperation and wish her all the best for the future, both professionally and privately.”

Vienna (OTS) On September 6th, Silke Kobald resigned as district leader of Hietzing after 10 years. “We would like to take this opportunity to thank Silke Kobald for her many years of collaboration. Even if our points of view were not always the same, the discussions always took place on equal terms. We wish her all the best for her future career, both professionally and privately,” said Katharina Kainz, club chairwoman of the Hietzinger NEOS.

After Silke Kobald’s surprising resignation, the Hietzinger NEOS is putting pressure on a successor to be found for the post of district leader soon. “Hietzing is the most beautiful district in Vienna. The handover of office should take place without any further ambiguity.” As soon as the district ÖVP has agreed on a successor, there is a lot to do: the good, cross-party work on the redesign of Altgasse must be continued, but also challenges such as the major connecting railway project or the imbalance in committee work require the attention of a district leadership that is fully focused on the office.

“It is important that the change of deputy, which has been planned for a long time, took place today. We are pleased that Marcel Höckner was sworn in today as the new deputy district leader. As the former club chairman of the SPÖ Hietzing, we have already worked well together in recent years and wish him, like the new club chairman Mayer-Egerer, a lot of joy in his new tasks,” concluded Kainz.
