People’s Artist of the RSFSR Svetlana Nemolyaeva became an honored guest of the 3rd Malaya Zemlya Film Festival in Novorossiysk. The 84-year-old actress spoke to aif.ru shared her opinion on why Maxim Galkin*, Semyon Slepakov* and other artists recognized as foreign agents in Russia applied to the courts demanding to remove this status from themselves.
Nemolyaeva believes that the reason for such a massive trip to court is the lack of demand for Russian artists abroad. The actress put forward a version that the showmen began to experience financial difficulties.
“They just ran out of money. You can imagine what kind of halls they had in Russia. There are no such concert halls in Israel. And no Israeli television will provide Maxim Galkin with such wonderful projects with a million audience that he had on TV in Russia. The same goes for all the other artists who left, the actress concluded.
Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that the amount of fines for foreign agents in Russia had increased 60 times. The Ministry of Justice explained the increase in the number of fined foreign agents by publications in the media containing “unconstructive criticism” of the authorities, discrediting the army and “undermining traditional values.”
