Neither Messi nor Ronaldo. The real GOAT finally revealed! – Football 365

Rodri snubbed Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the GOAT debate and named a Manchester City teammate instead.

Rodri knows what it’s like to play with the best footballers on the planet having won countless titles with Spain and Manchester City.

The midfielder was asked to give his opinion on the greatest player of all time and, to his surprise, he didn’t choose Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. Instead, Rodri chose Kevin De Bruyne when asked by GOAL about his GOAT.

De Bruyne the best player in history?

Rodri isn’t the only City player to have described De Bruyne as the best. Jack Grealish dubbed the Belgian the GOAT in January after his stunning display against Newcastle on his return to action after injury. De Bruyne is arguably one of the greatest players the Premier League has ever seen and has already won six league titles, two FA Cups and the Champions League with the Cityzens.

Rodri discussed the topic at the PFA Awards, where team-mate Phil Foden won the Player of the Year award, beating the Spaniard and Erling Haaland. Rodri was named in the Team of the Year along with City stars Foden, Haaland and Kyle Walker.
