Neil Druckmann asked Sony to increase the circulation of The Last of Us Part I: Firefly Edition for PS5 – this edition was immediately sold out

Last month The Last of Us Part I was officially announced remake of the original The Last of Us for PlayStation 5 and PC. The launch of the game was accompanied by the opening of pre-orders for several editions, including the Firefly Edition with a steelbook, a comic book set with an exclusive cover, and digital bonuses.

Literally in a matter of hours, the entire circulation of Firefly Edition was completely sold out. In addition, this version of the game was announced as an exclusive for the American region. in Europe and Asia it was impossible to order it.

The current situation somewhat saddened users, who began to ask Sony to release an additional edition of the Firefly Edition and make it available in other parts of the world. Now the hopes of the players were supported by the Naughty Dog team.

As the game designer wrote Neil Druckmann on their personal blog, the developers have already sent a request to Sony to release an additional edition of the Firefly Edition. There has been no response from the platform owner yet.

“Trust me, we would love to provide fans with an additional Firefly Edition. A request has already been sent to the management!”, – wrote the developer.

Recall that The Last of Us Part I is an adaptation of the original The Last of Us on the technological basis of The Last of Us Part II. Players will experience a familiar storyline and sequence of game events, but with a new picture, soundtrack, animation system, updated artificial intelligence and other technical improvements.

The Last of Us Part I is coming to PlayStation 5 worldwide today September 2, 2022. The PC version will be released at a later date.
