The police in Gmunden received the alarm at around 2 p.m. Because the neighbors suspected an acute health problem, the Reindlmühl volunteer fire department and the Red Cross were also alerted.
Because the 83-year-old did not respond to the police officers’ loud calls, an emergency doctor was called. Only following the door was opened did the man lying in the living room say that he might not get up and was completely powerless.
Paramedics and the emergency doctor from the Martin 3 rescue helicopter treated the pensioner and took him to a hospital.
