Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer will give a “Speech on the Future of the Nation” on March 10th. The ÖVP chairman wants to present his future plan “Austria 2030”. According to the invitation available to APA, Nehammer wants to explain how he imagines Austria should develop by then.
“After a year of crisis management, we are now learning the lessons from these crises. It is important to give people in Austria a perspective and to think outside the box during this legislative period. ‘Austria 2030’ will be my future plan that I am commissioning. He will provide answers to many questions regarding how and in what direction our country should develop,” announced the Federal Chancellor in the invitation.
Nehammer points out that his previous work as Chancellor had been shaped by overcoming the crises – from Corona to the war in Ukraine and its consequences. “It’s not over, but we’ve learned to deal with the consequences. Now it’s time to look to the future.” The world is reorganizing itself and Austria will only be successful in the long term “if we together accept the challenges of our time as opportunities. My vision for our country is to create framework conditions that enable everyone to shape their future in a self-determined manner. “
Nehammer chose the “Thirty Five” event location in Vienna on the 35th floor of the Twin Towers on the Wienerberg as the location for his speech. The “Thirty Five” describes itself as “Vienna’s highest and most unique event location”.
