Negotiations between Ukraine and Russia continued

According to information from Kyiv, negotiations between Ukraine and Russia on an end to the war continued today. “They have already been continued,” the head of the Ukrainian delegation, David Arakhamiya, told the newspaper “Ukrayinska Pravda”. He did not provide any further information.

The Russian government does not expect a breakthrough from today’s talks. “We don’t want to make predictions. Let’s wait for tangible results,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in advance. It is “too early” for discussions regarding the format of a possible final document.

“The work is complex, but just the fact that the work is ongoing is positive,” said Peskow.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared combative ahead of the new round of negotiations. Moscow has “already begun to understand that it will not achieve anything with war,” Zelenskyi said in a video message published on Facebook that night. His advisers told him regarding “rather positive” talks with Moscow yesterday.
