Thin animals, suffering from diarrhoea, kilos of excrement stuck to their wool: a breeder from Friborg has been condemned for the third time for having neglected his sheep. According to “La Liberté”, the 56-year-old man had already been given a 20-day suspended fine in March 2022, then 45 firm day-fines a few months later.

Last December, a veterinary check once once more found a herd in a deplorable state, lacking food, without a watering place. One of the animals was in particular in agony, while four of them had already died the same year, relates “La Liberté”.

The breeder was therefore once more sanctioned, this time receiving a 60-day firm fine which will be added to the first two convictions.
