Operation Meuse Propre began on Saturday (October 1). About fifty volunteers gathered in the municipalities of Dave, Anseremme and Hastière to collect the waste accumulated in the part of the bed of the Meuse which is currently dry following the layoff of the river.
The volunteers have so far collected nearly three tons of waste of all kinds: tires, scrap metal, plastic sheeting, sheets, carpets, bottles, cans, garden furniture, children’s toys…
