Nearly 5 days and nights lying in the depths of Hai Van Pass, how can the backpackers be saved?

On January 29, the Police Team of Fire Prevention and Rescue (Firefighting and Rescue) Lien Chieu District Police (Da Nang City Police) coordinated with the Border Guard to successfully rescue a male backpacker. The driver had an accident while backpacking on Hai Van Pass (Sung Co beach area, Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang).

From the time of the accident to the time when the police force and the Da Nang Border Guard were rescued and taken to the hospital, the victim lay in the abyss for nearly 5 days and nights.

The patient’s condition is currently stable.

The victim’s motorcycle was found.

Information from the Fire Protection and Rescue Police force, around 10:15 pm on January 28 (the 7th day of the Lunar New Year), the 114 Command Center of the Da Nang City Police Department received information from the relatives of Mr. Bui Xuan Huy (residing in Ho Chi Minh City). ) with content: “He fell into the abyss at Sung Co beach (belonging to Hai Van pass) when he was traveling alone 4 days ago“.

According to family information, following falling into the abyss, Huy tried to get up on his own but failed because of the difficult terrain, he himself suffered injuries in many places on his body. When the food he brought with him gradually ran out, on the evening of January 28, Huy detected the phone signal and called to inform his family.

Right following that, Huy’s relatives called the Da Nang Police to ask for help and rescue the victim.

Information provided by the family, the location of Mr. Huy in the accident is Sung Co beach area, far from the Hai Van pass road.

Received the news, even on the night of January 28, despite heavy rain, strong wind and very cold weather, the Fire Protection and Rescue Police Team of Lien Chieu District Police mobilized specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to Hai Van pass. , went to Sung Co beach area to look for victims.
