Near the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, gasoline prices increased for the 4th consecutive time

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have just decided to adjust the retail price of gasoline at 3:00 p.m. on February 1, according to which the gasoline price increased simultaneously to the highest level of nearly 800 VND/liter.

Specifically, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 740 VND/liter from 3:00 p.m. today, retail price at 22,910 VND/liter; RON 95 gasoline increased by 760 VND/liter, retail price on the market was 24,160 VND/liter, all types of oil also increased sharply, increasing from 380-620 VND/liter, kg depending on type, of which diesel increased by 620 VND, up to 20,990 VND/liter,

This is the fourth time domestic gasoline prices have increased since 2024, in which the executive agency continues to not deduct or spend from the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for gasoline, criticizing the BOG Fund for fuel oil at the level is 300 VND/kg.

Previously, at the 15:00 regular adjustment session on January 25, 2024 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade – Ministry of Finance, petroleum products increased simultaneously to nearly 1,000 VND/liter.

The Ministry of Finance has just adjusted the retail price of gasoline on January 25, accordingly, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline increased by 753 VND/liter, the retail price is not higher than 22,171 VND/liter, lower than RON95-III gasoline by 1,236 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline increased the most at 925 VND/liter, the retail price was no higher than 23,407 VND/liter.

Oil products also increased mostly, of which diesel increased by 182 VND/liter, retail price was not higher than 20,376 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 08 VND, the retail price is not higher than 20,544 VND/liter. Only fuel oil is down 14 VND/kg compared to the current price, retail price is 15,494 VND/kg.

Regarding the setting up of the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund (BOG Fund), on January 25, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Finance decided to set up a Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for madut oil at 300 VND/kg (as in the previous period). ), no appropriation to the BOG Fund for gasoline, diesel and kerosene products. Regarding spending on using the BOG Petroleum Fund, the Ministry of Finance – Industry and Trade jointly decided not to spend on using the BOG Fund for all petroleum products.

Previously, at the retail price adjustment session on January 18, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance decided to simultaneously increase prices for petroleum products, in which gasoline product E5RON92 increased by 377 VND/liter to 21,418 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline increased by 547 VND/liter, to 22,482 VND/liter compared to the current retail price.

With oil prices, 0.05S diesel increased by 487 VND/liter, not higher than 20,194 VND/liter; Kerosene increased by 205 VND/liter to 20,536 VND/liter. In contrast, 180CST 3.5S fuel oil decreased by 307 VND/kg, down to 15,508 VND/kg compared to the current retail price).
