Sequins and rhinestones, these were the watchwords of the fashion show organized in a privatized villa in Antibes on Saturday evening, on the sidelines of the Cannes Film Festival. The event also had a Luxembourgish accent since “Top Model Kids Luxembourg” and its young models put on a show there. A way to honor the talents of the Grand Duchy.
Maria Correa was one of eight young people selected for the event. “It’s my first fashion show in Antibes, working with designers for a fashion show has always been my dream, it’s a real chance,” says the 17-year-old Luxembourger.
“I started the parades at 9 years old”
Among the designers, who lend their creations for an evening, Karim Meguellati, a young designer from Luxembourg, was also there. Several designers each presented their work in turn, before Karim Meguellati and his collection made in Luxembourg.
An enthusiast at heart: “I started fashion shows very early, at the age of 9. I had a cousin who played the models, entrusts the Luxembourger who discovers Cannes for the first time. And as soon as I see someone on the street, I imagine how I would dress them. It’s really innate to me.” A little wink has also been sent to the Grand Duchy, the models have had a last lap, dressed in blue, white and red.
