Internal investigation into Gaga report on dog whisperer
A fat dog…
On October 8, 2019, the “Hamburg-Journal” published an article regarding a woman who claimed to be able to talk to dead dogs. The contribution might now become a problem for the NDR radio station boss Sabine Rossbach (63). She is said to have placed the Gaga contribution as a courtesy. Cheating allegations!
The article is regarding a woman who claims to be able to communicate with animals via “telepathic sense”. Unbelievable: The NDR spokesman even claims that the 36-year-old can not only come into contact with living dogs, but also with deceased dogs.
Spicy: A Hartz IV recipient is also shown, who talks to the dog whisperer regarding her dead dog named “Leica”. The dog whisperer charges around 100 euros for a one-hour session.
The post not only led to many angry reactions from viewers, but also caused some internal editors to be dismayed. Noisy „Business Insider“ even the NDR editorial committee took on the incident, where internal complaints are dealt with. The editors are said to have spoken of a “rip-off” and described the dog whisperer as a “charlatan”, the report says.
The dog in the pan is going crazy: the NDR report might go back to a gamble by Hamburg broadcaster Sabine Rossbach.
She is said to have done a favor by placing the contribution of the then program director of NDR-Kultur, Barbara Mirow. This, in turn, is said to have given Rossbach’s daughter a permanent position on NDR.
Family business NDR?
In return, Rossbach is said to have cobbled together orders for Mirow’s daughter, who runs a Hamburg production company. Specifically, it is regarding the series regarding “Dogs in Hamburg”, which was shot and produced by Mirow’s daughter. As part of this series, the internally highly controversial contribution regarding the dog whisperer was shown.
According to NDR employees, Rossbach is said to have personally commissioned the dog series from the daughter of the then head of culture. The NDR initially denied the allegations, and also shared no “close confidants” with Rossbach and Mirow.
In a later statement it said: “Whether Ms. Rossbach preferred reporting on topics of the agency of her daughter is the subject of an examination by the anti-corruption officer of the NDR.”
In addition to the dog contribution, Rossbach is said to have ensured that the customers of the PR agency of her other subsidiary (Hesse and Hallermann) are mentioned in reports on the NDR. Prominent example: The show by star chef Cornelia Poletto is said to have ended up in the program at Rossbach’s instigation.
In addition, Rossbach is said to have encouraged well-known NDR editors to go to VIP events and public occasions for clients of the Hesse and Hallermann agency.
