Los Angeles, CA – March 12, 2025
The Crypto.com Arena pulsed with anticipation as fans, known as NCTzens or Czennies, awaited NCT 127. As the lights dimmed, the opening chords of “Walk” reverberated through the arena, a wave of green light sticks illuminating the faces of thousands of fans.
NCT 127,the South Korean Pop (K-Pop) group, brought their energy to Los Angeles on Wednesday,March 12,for the final stop of their fourth tour,”NEO CITY—THE MOMENTUM.” As their debut in 2016, the group has been on an upward trajectory, constantly evolving their sound and captivating a global audience. The tour’s name reflects their continued success and impact in the music industry.
Formed as a subunit of NCT, a larger project by SM Entertainment with 25 members under the “Neo Culture Technology” concept, NCT 127 derives its “127” from the longitudinal lines of Seoul, south Korea, their home base. Currently, six of the eight members are active, as taeyong and Jaehyun fulfill their mandatory military service in South Korea, a common requirement for male citizens.
With members hailing from diverse backgrounds including Canada, Japan, the United States, and South Korea, NCT 127 boasts a broad international appeal, releasing music in English, Korean, and Japanese. Their global influence has led to performances at the MTV EMAs in 2019 and multiple appearances on the Billboard charts, including “#1 Top Album Sales” and “Billboard 200.” They’ve also been featured at numerous KCON events throughout the years, solidifying their status as K-Pop leaders.

Mark,Johnny,Doyoung,Haechan,Yuta, and Jungwoo, clad in futuristic,neo-combat attire, commanded the stage, mirroring the sea of green formed by fans wielding their official “Neobong” light sticks. the concert ignited with “Gas,” which seamlessly transitioned into the high-energy tracks “Faster” and “Bring The Noize.”
Paola Perez, a CSUN CTVA Film Production student, shared her experience:
I was super hyped up during the concert. It was a lot of fun being able to dance along and pay attention to the details of their live performance. My favorite part was probably getting to sing or scream some of my favorite and most iconic lyrics with the group.
Positive Energy and Connection
Yuta echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the positive connection between the group and their fans:
I feel like this North America Tour, not only for me but for all of our members, truly gave us a different vibe and different feeling. I feel like this different kind of energy is always such a positive thing for me. I feel like our ‘NCTzens’ are the reason we’re able to stand on stage.
Mark added that he could see the “genuine” smiles from everyone, highlighting the reciprocal energy between NCT 127 and their dedicated following.
The performance was a multifaceted spectacle, featuring powerful rap verses from Mark and Johnny, accompanied by Yuta’s versatile vocals. Pyrotechnics, strobe lights, streamers, and confetti punctuated hits like “Kick It,” “Fact Check,” and “Walk.” Costume changes added visual flair, with the group transitioning from sleek suits to a rock grunge aesthetic for “Far.”

During “Designer,” the stage props enhanced the performance, creating a visual connection with the outfit changes. By the end of “Designer” the crowd was a sea of orange lanterns.
The unmistakable flute intro of “Sticker” ignited the crowd, nearly drowning out the track with their keen singing. doyoung then engaged the audience, asking them to name their favorite performance of the night, many choosing “Sticker.”
Vocal Prowess and Emotional Connection
Ballads like “Can’t help Myself,” “Gold Dust,” and “No Longer” highlighted the vocal talents of members such as haechan, Jungwoo, and Doyoung. Ashton M.,a CSUN History student and self-proclaimed Johnny “bias” (favorite member),was particularly moved by Doyoung’s vocals:
He has always stood out to me a lot as of his vocals but hearing them live was like a whole other experience.I have so much more recognition for him, even more than I did before as I genuinely almost teared up at one point because of how gorgeous his voice was.
The shared experience of live music created a sonic escape for both the performers and the audience. The members joked about restarting the show to maintain the energy, but Mark playfully acknowledged the reality check: “Everyone has to go to work tomorrow.”
Appreciation and Promotion
The members expressed their gratitude towards each other, their fans, and the staff. Johnny humorously observed the audience’s attempts to sing along, noting, “A lot of them couldn’t get the Korean part, but they got to ‘Ay, get, get out my way.’
” He also shared a message, hoping the group could be a source of happiness for fans.
Doyoung and Haechan also plugged Mark’s debut solo album, “Firstfruit,” to be released on April 7.
NCT 127’s diverse discography spans K-pop,hip-hop,R&B,ballads,and EDM,offering something for every music fan.
I even brought my friend who doesn’t realy know them, and even he had a really good time just like hanging out with the crowd and everything and just vibing with the music,
Closing the show with “Time Capsule,” “Dreams Come True,” and “Promise You,” NCT 127 left fans with a sense of nostalgia and anticipation for future reunions. Ashton reflected on the post-concert emotions:
