The third offshoot of the “NCIS” franchise is finally coming to Germany – but not on television. If you want to see the new series, you need a subscription to a streaming service.
Agents Torres and Knight from “NCIS” have just helped out with the new offshoot from Hawaii. However, it was previously completely unclear whether the crossover episodes would also be shown in Germany – until now. As has now been announced, “NCIS: Hawaii” will finally be available in this country. We tell you where and how to watch the new series.

“NCIS: Hawaii” not on TV
Fans of the franchise don’t have to wait much longer. However, “NCIS: Hawaii” will not be coming to linear television (yet). If you want to see the third offshoot after “Los Angeles” and “New Orleans”, you need a subscription to Joyn PLUS+. The crime series can then be seen in the premium offer of the streaming service from April 26th. Two new episodes will be shown each week.
Chris Silber, Jan Nash and Matt Bosack are writing and producing the new spin-off. Silber has worked on both NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans, while Nash has only worked on New Orleans. Bosack, on the other hand, is a producer of the CBS series “SEAL Team”.
That the new offshoot was moved to Hawaii is not too much of a surprise. After the cancellation of “Hawaii Five-0” last year, there is an extensive and competent crew on site for such a project. Parts of “MacGyver” and “Magnum PI” are also filmed on the archipelago. Sufficient staff should therefore be available.
“NCIS: Hawaii” – the cast
As a team leader, this time a woman is in the executive chair. With Gibbs, Callen and Hanna, and Dwayne Pride, this post has so far been left to men. (Although Hetty Lange is Operations Manager on “NCIS: LA”, this is the title Special Agent in Charge). Jane Tennant is said to be the name of the new leader and will look after the team called NCIS Pearl Harbor. Tennant is played by Vanessa Lachey. She is known, among other things, as the presenter of the Netflix dome show “Love is Blind”. As an actress, the native Filipina has mostly appeared in guest roles, including “Hawaii Five-0”.
She gets support from Yasmine Al-Bustami, who is known from “The Originals”, among other things. Al-Bustami will play Lucy, a self-assured chatterbox who loves her job at NCIS.
Jason Antoon has also already been cast for a role: Ernie is a specialist in cyber intelligence, so probably more of the computer nerd around. Antoon is also a lesser known face, having guest-starred on Castle, Grey’s Anatomy, and Shameless.
