In this era of rapidly evaporating news media, it’s especially exciting to announce that NC Newsline is expanding its team of award-winning reporters. Today, Ahmed Jallow became the newest Newsline team member.
Ahmed has spent the last seven years as a journalist — first in New York City and, since 2020 when he began a two-year stint with the Burlington Times-Newshere in North Carolina. In recent years, Ahmed has worked as a freelance investigative reporter and produced a number of in-depth investigations on an array of important subjects related to government and public policy (and the people impacted) for quality outlets like The Assembly, Carolina Public Press and Scalawag.
At Newsline, Ahmed will devote his time to both daily news coverage and enterprise reporting — with a particular emphasis on politics, the 2024 election and K-12 education.
