Stephen Currythe superstar of the Golden State Warriors, put in a perfect performance during the All-Star Game of the NBA 2022, lighting his way to earn the honors of MVP.
In the end, though, it was Stephen Curry’s rival, LeBron James, who sealed the win for the team, hitting a jump shot to win for his team.
After the game, Curry talked regarding how the entire game seemed like the right fit for both him and LeBron. The Warriors star referenced the classic rivalry between his team and Cleveland, host of this year’s festivities.
“I told him on the court following the game that it was a perfect ending. I got MVP and played well all night. He hit the winning goal. The whole history of our series (Cavs-Warriors) and the Akron ties, all that kind of detail. I really can’t draw it any other way.” Curry said.
Curry didn’t close out the game, but he was arguably the one who kept it going with 50 points and 16 3-pointers, scoring the second-most points in the All-Star game and setting a new NBA record for 3-pointers in that event.
Lebron James had 24 points with 8 rebounds and 6 assists, scoring the last two points to defeat Team Durant over Zach Lavine and Joel Embidd.
