The “Clutch Player of the Year” may have to sit out: The Sacramento Kings confirmed on Tuesday night that De’Aaron Fox broke the tip of his left index finger in Game 4 against the Golden State Warriors (125:126).
Despite the injury to his throwing hand, the 25-year-old wants to be loud ESPN but in the possibly decisive game 5 on Thursday night (4:00 a.m.) in Sacramento. But he would have to play with a protective cover on his fingertip. He is officially listed as “doubtful”.

LA Clippers: Kawhi Leonard continues to fail against the Phoenix Suns

“He’s definitely injured,” said Lue. “This isn’t ‘load management’ where he’s taking a break. […] If he can’t play with the injury, it must be something serious.” Officially, Leonard has been out since Game 3 with a sprained right knee.

NBA Playoffs: Kyle Anderson and Dejounte Murray are missing
The Minnesota Timberwolves have to play Game 5 of their series against the Nuggets in Denver (1-3) without forward Kyle Anderson. The latter had sustained an eye injury in Game 4 when he was hit in the face by teammate Anthony Edwards late in the third quarter. He then left the game and the Wolves finally won 114:108 in overtime.
Game 5 takes place on Wednesday night (3 a.m.).
The Atlanta Hawks have to avert the threatened playoff end against the Boston Celtics (1-3) on Wednesday night (1.30 a.m.) without guard Dejounte Murray. However, this is not an injury: Murray verbally attacked and touched a referee towards the end of Game 4 – a no-go in the NBA. He was suspended by the league for one game.
Murray averages 20.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists in the series. Head coach Quin Snyder left it open who will be in the starting five for him.
