As the regular season ends on Sunday in the NBA, the Lakers are on a mission to reach the playoffs without going through the play-in box. A mission that got off to a bad start this Thursday night, since LeBron James and his family lost to the Clippers (118-125). The leading scorer in NBA history refuses to admit defeat.
THE Los Angeles Lakers lost a decisive game in the race for the NBA playoffs. Dominated by Clippers (118-125) last night the Angelina still occupy 7th place in the Western Conference, a small victory from Clippers (5th) and Golden State Warriors (6th). With two more matches to go, once morest the Suns and at Jazz, LeBron James and its partners can still claim a direct ticket for the postseason.
“We have to be ready”
Filled with disappointment following the defeat in the derby of The Angels It front of Clippers, LeBron James did not fail to recall that the playoffs were still reachable, whether through the play-in or not: “If we want to avoid the Play-in? It’s like that. No matter our place in the standings, it will be like that. We had 4 or 5 seasons in 1. We do not have the luxury of saying: ‘we need to do this, we are going to be in this place’, admitted the quadruple MVP of the NBA. We just have to keep playing good basketball. We’ll see how things evolve. But no matter where we are, we have to be ready.”
The Lakers must win
Despite the desire of LeBron James to join the playoffs directly, Lakers increasingly seem to be heading towards the play-in. In particular because of the meeting to come on Saturday once morest the Phoenix Sunsundefeated with Kevin Durant in the major 5. But no time to ask questions, the men of Darwin Ham do not have the luxury of being able to calculate. The objective remains simple: win the matches to give yourself a chance to play in the playoffs. Whether via play-in or not.
